Is Your Car Ready to Travel?

is your car ready to travel

Before traveling anywhere. Ask yourself, Is your car Ready to Travel? First, you should make sure you have quality auto coverage. Besides, when you drive with quality coverage, you drive with peace of mind. Also, it is a law that you have some kind of auto insurance to protect you and others from the unknown. As well as that, many car dealerships have their own auto insurance for you to purchase and protect yourself. Also your asset. If you do not have good insurance, you may want to check out my Travel for Less page on the left-hand side of this page for a membership that provides many types of insurance. But this page is not a sales page.

My son learned the Lesson of Not Having Auto Insurance the Hard Way. Indeed, he bought and Paid for an Audi last year. While he had fully paid the car off. In fact, it was stolen from the parking lot of his job. And he did not keep his Auto Insurance on his car like he was supposed to. So, he then had to make a car payment to get himself another car to get back and forth to work. Here, you can read more lessons I have taught my son. As well as not listening to his mother and his lessons, he had to learn the hard way. In hopes that you heed the warning and protect you and yours.

Is Your Car Ready to Travel? And Fully Maintained?

Before traveling anywhere, mini vacations or visit lakes. Including back and forth to work. You will need to check your car’s battery. Many car experts state that you should get a new battery about every four to five years. As well as checking your battery connections and cables every few months. Of course, the time frame for all these suggestions has to do with how many miles you put on your car daily. The weather can damage belts, hoses, and battery life. But it suggested changing your hoses and belts about every four years.

Now, if you are getting your oil and other fluids changed once a month or before long trips and lots of mileage, then the mechanics there usually check all of this for you and let you know when your car needs certain care to keep it roadworthy. As well as changing filters. They can help you verify that your lights and other electrical gear are working correctly. While checking your brake pads and fluids. And changing them properly assures you are driving safely for you and yours. Besides windshield wipers being a requirement to get your car inspected, having these checked with the window fluid of your choice is also a great idea.

Is your Car Ready for Trips? Especially if it is a used car.

So, I told you I would give more examples of my son’s lessons. While at the car dealership, he bought himself another car. Indeed, my husband noticed that the tires were not brand new. And knowing that Joshua will be putting a lot of miles into his car. Indeed, he drives sixty miles one way every day to work. In fact, it is not a luxury trip. But he does make long trips to work every day. So, he should be checking these car care tips often. And I will get into more of his lesson on his bad tires in a moment. For now, I must go into a Momma Bear Rant.

Indeed, he buys a used Jaguar from a used car dealership. In fact, he gets a really Good Deal. And drives as carefully as a twenty-four-year-old man should. But often, when I am with him, I see others not driving very carefully. Besides seeing men (usually) of all ages trying to get him to race, which is illegal, by the way, I also see them drive up really fast, almost rear-ending him. Most of the time, they are in big trucks with lots of horsepower or sports cars, wanting to prove something. When I say they are not acting their age, it is really an understatement.

Please be careful when driving!

Y’all, I am Christian. But I am also human. And the momma bear in me comes out when I see my baby put in danger. I cannot promise to remember my Sweet Christian Side. Please stop and think about how you would feel if this were your baby being treated this way. And being put in danger. Most of the time they drive off after a bit, and I do not get to say anything to their face. So, as a blogger, I feel it is my duty to bring awareness to this matter for all of us mommas with babies on the road. Please drive correctly and be the example you would want someone to set for your child.

  • Don’t Drive Drunk!
  • Don’t Road Rage!
  • Drive the Speed Limit!
  • No Drag Racing!
  • Stay off your Phone while Driving!

Most of these are laws set for all states. However, somewhere along the way, many forget the laws. But, hopefully, with enough awareness, people will stop and think of others. And Obey the Laws. So, if this blog touches your heart, please share it on any form of social media to spread the word!

Don’t forget to check your Tires! Is your car Ready to Travel?

No, this boy of mine likes to test the waters a little bit more than I would like him to. He did not ask himself, ‘Are you ready to travel?’ Indeed, he did not get his tires replaced when he bought his used car. And when we noticed that there was not much tread on the tires. While driving to work one day on his long trip. His tire blows off the rim on the interstate.

Who does he call, Mom? Afraid that he was in a dangerous place to change his tire. I instructed him to call the Fort Worth Police, who I know have a courtesy patrol. Indeed, many police departments do have a courtesy patrol that is more than willing to help you out. And make sure that you get back on the road safely. He, of course, did not call them and put his spare tire on himself. Then he drives to work and back that day on his spare tire.

So, the next morning, my husband got up bright and early before he had to go to work. And takes his car to Discount Tires. I cannot say enough good things about their kindness. So instead of focusing on the negative and unkind people on the road, Indeed, I am writing this blog to praise people who truly take the time to care for others. And Go Above and Beyond their Job Duties.

Granbury, Texas, Discount Tires Review

As my husband drove up into Discount Tire Granbury’s Parking Lot. They had been open for 15 minutes. But they were eager to help people the best they could. And they were busy working with a car in every bay. He didn’t have to wait one minute to be helped. Indeed, there were many guys eager to get the tire fixed as soon as possible. Then he paid for a tire and went to the car to sit. Four minutes later, an attendant came for the car. Which was great because he needed to get the car back home so my son could leave for work. The whole process was completed in 20 minutes.
